Solo vos sos — in Salvadoran Spanish, it means "only you are." Not a put-down. Not ego. A reminder that no one else is you. That your story, your perspective, your way of moving through the world — it belongs to you alone.

That phrase has followed Jorge G. H. his whole life.

Jorge was a kid when he left El Salvador, fleeing a civil war that had torn the country apart. He arrived in California carrying very little — but he carried himself. In the chaos of displacement and starting over, he found something unexpected: a skateboard.

Skating gave him a language when words failed. It gave him a community when he felt like an outsider. It gave him a way to express everything he couldn't say out loud — the grief, the grit, the joy of just being alive and moving. The streets of California became his canvas, and art became the other half of that expression.

In 2015, Jorge brought those two worlds together and founded Solovossos. Not as a brand statement, but as a personal one. Every deck, every design carries that same spirit — the belief that culture, creativity, and lived experience are worth putting into the world. That your story matters. That solo vos sos.
